Crisis deepens in Maharahstra Congress; BJP, Congress release more lists

Meanwhile, on the final day to file nominations, BJP released its fourth list of seven candidates. It had on Thursday released its third list of four candidates.

While, Congress named 18 more candidates. With this, the party has so far announced 141 nominees for the elections to the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly.

The Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party are contesting the election together under a pre-poll alliance.

Elections in Maharashtra will be held on October 21 and results will be out on October 24.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has filed his nomination from Nagpur South West. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was also present on the occasion.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda filed his nomination from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat.

Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister held a road show in Nagpur. Union leaders Bhupendra Yadav, Saroj Pande and State BJP President Chandrakantdada Patil also joined him on this occasion.
