Indore: Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Tuesday demolished a dilapidated three-storeyed building in Nandlalpura area. This building was among 44 buildings that IMC identified for demolition ahead of monsoon. IMC’s removal gang members reached Nandlalpura and pulled down the building, which was put in dangerous category by IMC.
The building belonged to Vijay Singh. Six families lived in this building till few months back. After MS Hotel building collapsed on March 31 killing 10 people, the IMC carried out survey in the city and identified dangerous buildings. A total of 166 buildings were found to be dangerous. Of them, 44 were found extremely dangerous and IMC had decided to knock them down ahead of monsoon.
