Indore: Taking their protest a step ahead, the Congress party workers on Thursday distributed loan forms to the vehicle owners at Regal petrol pump to help them buy the fuel. It was a taunt aimed at state and central government for not curbing the fuel cost rise.
The Congress activists raised slogans by putting masks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders and praised the fuel price hike to target the union and state government. Addressing the protest, Congress party leader Anoop Shukla said, “Now, people will have to take loan to buy fuel as its price has been increasing constantly. Even after the protest across the country, the government didn’t take any action to control the prices, which increased on Thursday too.”
City Congress president Pramod Tandon said that the union government has been fooling people in the name of holding meeting to discuss rates but didn’t do anything. “We will take out a Janakrosh rally from Gandhi Bhawan to collectorate for protesting against the fuel hike. Leaders will ride cycle, bullock carts, hand carts and will push the vehicles as mark of protest,” Tandon said.
